Bits and Pieces

20 May

You’d never guess by the amount of time I post here how much I think of this lovely little space. Daily. Many times a day actually. I write drafts of posts. Lists of ideas of posts. Pictures and projects to post. And dreams of connections with friends and soon to be friends.

and then, crickets….I post nothing. But I don’t have to tell you that… you see it (insert smiley face). I get paralyzed by perfection. Of wanting to get it just right – SEO, image size, captivating headlines – all the bloggy things.

These past few weeks I have to remind myself why I want to be here. Why I want you to be here. Why would you care to drop in? It’s definitely not about the techy stuff. I’m hoping you come to find something interesting, uplifting, definitely value adding. I want that. I don’t take lightly that you stopped by. I want you to go away feeling loved, encouraged, or at least with a smile. I want to share all the pieces… beautiful, sometimes non-sensical, hopefully helpful bits and pieces of life.

So, thank you! thank you for stopping by! I see the page views, I know you are out there… it makes me happy! Please feel free to comment, to share. I’d love this place here to feel like we’re at that favorite spot, sitting in the comfy chairs, drinking coffee, sharing all the things that are important to us.

Before I go…..I wanted to share the the funnest gifts my fam showered me with for Mother’s Day last week. A bouquet of peonies, my first. I have really enjoyed them. The soft pinks and creams, and greens exploding like fireworks as they open. Just such a joy to discover all their gorgeous details. Also whimsical press-on nails – just what I wanted. To dress up and have fun without entering into a committed relationship to acrylics! I’ve seen influencers rave about this brand, and as I video a few projects, I’m kindof hoping it helps you not recoil at the horror of the current state of my hands (tbd, I know). Lastly, a pair of muppet-like pale pink slippers. They make me smile every time I glimpse down!

Pink Peonies for mother’s day

Thanks for stopping by, listening to me ramble on…

I’ll leave you with a verse I’ve been thinking on. Please feel free to download it and print for yourself or encourage a friend, (just don’t sell).
